There are few cameras as iconic as a Polaroid. Snapping a photo and receiving the physical copy in moments is a special experience that is hard to replace. Now, photography lovers can recreate this vintage model through LEGO and fall in love with the camera all over again.

By putting together the bricks of this 516-piece set inspired by the Polaroid OneStep SX-70 model (originally released by Polaroid in 1972), users can make their own replica. The set includes many of the beloved details associated with the Polaroid Land camera, like the white front and rainbow stripe. The toy version even possesses functional features that make it feel like the real thing, including a viewfinder that users can peer into, and a movable exposure compensation dial.

The set also comes with the pieces necessary to construct a Polaroid film pack, where you can store three “photos” illustrated in the LEGO style. Among them is a LEGO-fied portrait of Polaroid co-founder and inventor of the Polaroid Land camera, Edwin H. Land. These photos can be loaded into the LEGO camera so that when you press the red button, they eject just as a real photo would, sparking joy for anyone who loves photography and LEGO.

You can pre-order this set for $79.99 via LEGO's online store, with orders shipping out January 1, 2024.

LEGO has released a new set that can be built into a Polaroid Land camera.

The 516 bricks can be constructed into a OneStep SX-70 model, originally released by Polaroid in 1972.

The LEGO camera functions like a real camera, with a viewfinder and movable exposure compensation dial.

The set also includes three illustrated photos, one of which depicts cofounder of Polaroid and inventor of the Land camera, Edwin H. Land.

These Polaroids can be loaded into the camera, and after you press the red button, they are ejected like real photos.

Vineyard Candle Company launched a soy wax candle that smells just like Dr. Pepper.

To make the experience even more vivid for Dr. Pepper fans, the candle is made in a recycled Dr. Pepper can. And just like the soda that inspired it, the candle comes in 7.5, 12, and 16-ounce sizes, with the largest offering up to 45 hours of burn time. “Vineyard Candle Co takes recycled and upcycled glass bottles and brings them back to life with candles and glass material,” writes the company. Additionally, they use all natural 100% soy wax and its products are all hand made.

Even though the Dr. Pepper scented candle is currently all the rage, the company has something for everyone who has a different favorite drink. Whether it's a classic Coke, a Mountain Dew, a Fanta, or even a PBR, you'll surely find your drink of choice here. And if you still long for the Dr. Pepper aesthetic, you can order a candle in the can but with a different scent, from Very Vanilla to Cognac and Cubans. Have you ever imagined your dream house? For some, it may include a white picket fence and a garden, while others may imagine a dashing townhouse. French-born and Berkley-based artist Audrey Smit puts her own spin on urban spaces in an ongoing project called Paint the World. This playful series imagines buildings covered in Smit's whimsical floral designs by photoshopping the prints onto photos of actual structures.

From houses in France to streets in England and Italy, this project travels around the world. Some of the photos are taken by Smit's friends and fans, while others are captured by Smit herself as she travels. The colorful designs are pasted onto the exterior of buildings in an amazingly natural fashion, so it seems like these façades have been painted in real life and not just digitally altered. Even though these floral abodes may not actually exist yet, these assemblages let us imagine what it would look like to walk down the sidewalk and see a house that's unlike any other.

Smit's art pairs perfectly with these houses, and it's no surprise. She runs a shop called This Little Street, where her vibrant artwork is sold as wallpaper, art prints, and even clothing. Blooms are usually at the center of her creative practice, which she arranges in an array of interesting and appealing patterns.

Phone cases are designed to provide protection for your device, but there's usually the added benefit of style. When you upgrade your phone, however, it usually demands a new cover to go along with it. This means that the old model will often end up in storage or in the trash. In an effort to put an end to this wasteful cycle, iGreen Gadgets has created a biodegradable iPhone cover that can be planted in the ground when you're done with it.

The design of the product is simple. While it seems like any other minimalistic cover on the exterior, it is made with a compostable material that is secretly embedded with seeds. Cornstarch is the main material used in the case, which functions not only as an armor for the phone but also as food for the seeds. So, when the time comes to dispose of the phone cover, simply remove it from the phone, and deposit it into a pot of soil or in the ground.

With time, the case will decompose in the earth and release the seeds. The company iGreen Gadgets even gives you the option of choosing which plants to grow, with daisy, forget-me-nots, and basil as the current available seed options. All covers are made in Italy, with sizes that suit Apple's iPhone 13 Pro, 14 Pro, and 15 Pro devices.

You can purchase one of iGreen Gadgets' phone covers via their online store. Prices begin at €17.99 (about $19.42).

Creative brand iGreen Gadgets has designed a biodegradable iPhone cover that can be reused when you're done with it.

Each cover contains seeds in the casing so you can plant it in the ground.

Simply remove the phone, put it in the dirt, and add sunlight and water to see it grow.

Depending on which case you choose, flowers or even herbs can sprout.

Usually, the goal of a LEGO set is to create one structure or design. However, a new release gives users the option to construct three different objects from the same pieces. The LEGO Creator Retro Camera comes with 261 bricks that can be recombined to create a vintage-style camera (with film), a camcorder, or even a TV.

Photography enthusiasts are sure to get a kick out of the realistic 35mm film SLR camera design. It includes a large movable lens, and can even be loaded with LEGO film, and accessorized with a rainbow LEGO-printed wrist strap. The provided LEGO film rolls already have special moments captured, like a safari bus, a giraffe, and butterflies.

When users are done enjoying the retro camera, they can then take apart the object and repurpose the pieces into a something new. The same bricks can help builders make a camcorder with an articulating screen or a charming vintage television that has antennas at the top.

This set will be available for purchase for $19.99 via LEGO's website starting January 1, 2024.

As 2023 is winding down, Pantone has set the tone for next year: a warm and delicate orange-pink. Peach Fuzz (PANTONE 13-1023) was announced as the Color of the Year 2024, inspiring not only the design trends to come, but hopefully inviting a time of kindness, collaboration, and softness.

The ups and downs of the past 12 months made Pantone reflect on what they wanted to see in 2024. “The color we selected to be our Pantone Color of the Year 2024 needed to express our desire to want to be close to those we love and the joy we get when allowing ourselves to tune into who we are and just savor a moment of quiet time alone,” they write. “It needed to be a color whose warm and welcoming embrace conveyed a message of compassion and empathy. One that was nurturing and whose cozy sensibility brought people together and elicited a feeling of tactility. One that reflected our feeling for days that seemed simpler but at the same time has been rephrased to display a more contemporary ambiance. One whose gentle lightness and airy presence lifts us into the future.”

Their announcement was accompanied by a variety of atmospheric images in the “Peach Fuzz” color scheme. Dandelions and wispy cotton balls painted in pale orange reflect the desire for tenderness with ourselves and with others in days to come. In terms of design, PANTONE 13-1023 has a similar effect. Its subtle and sensual shade provides warmth to rooms, and decorative elements. “A clean peach tone with a vintage vibe, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz reflects the past yet has been refashioned to have a contemporary ambiance, enabling it to seamlessly display its presence in both the physical and digital world,” Pantone says. Likewise, in terms of style, the peachy shade evokes a dreamy and romantic aesthetic.

How much do you know about disco? From Donna Summer to ABBA, there are numerous artists who have left their mark on music from this influential genre. UK-based studio Dorothy has mapped out the must-know names from disco history and arranged them on a beautiful blueprint poster.

The detailed screen print was nine months in the making, chronicling over 600 musicians, DJs, producers, clubs, and record labels onto the circuit diagram of a Klipschorn speaker. All of the names have been intentionally chosen from around the globe as “pivotal in the evolution of disco music.” This includes the origins of disco in Afro-American funk and Motown of the late 1960s all the way to its peak in popularity with discomania in the 1970s.

Some of the greats that music enthusiasts are sure to recognize include Giorgio Moroder, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, and Sylvester and the Bee Gees. There are also plenty of homages to Eurodisco, Italo disco, and regional scenes in Canada, Brazil, and beyond. Additionally, history buffs will find significant dates from pop culture, like the 1969 Stonewall Riots and the Saturday Night Fever in 1977.
