This makes organizations like the Mangrove Action Project, which works to preserve and restore the world's mangrove forests, all the more vital. Woman Playing Cards Wins “World’s Largest Photo Competition”

German photo printing company CEWE has just announced the winners of its photo competition, which it says is the world's largest. Indonesian photographer Dikye Ariani was the overall winner for her image of a woman immersed in a card game with locals at a traditional Indonesian café, or “Warung Kopi.” Ariani's slice-of-life image won out over the 509,612 photos submitted by amateur and professional photographers around the world.

His photo The Bridge also topped the Open Nature/Landscape category for its breathtaking look at Iceland's landscape. “After over a dozen visits to Iceland, exploring its majestic lands, during a rest stop, I decided to change my perspective and launch my drone,” he shared. “To my amazement, I captured this incredible image.
